Southern New Hampshire University will welcome its largest incoming class beginning Sunday, Sept. 2.

The 723 incoming freshman and transfer students represent 23 states; 554 will reside on campus and 179 will commute to the main campus. For the first time in SNHU’s history, full-time undergraduate students from Massachusetts will equal the number of New Hampshire students. Students from the two states comprise roughly 80 percent of the total incoming class. Fifteen percent of the remaining students hail from New England and the remaining five percent from others parts of the country.

SNHU’s equal ratio of men to women represents a divergence from the national average for incoming freshman classes of 65 percent women to 35 percent men.

Students will begin moving into housing on Sunday, Sept. 2. Orientation's First Days schedule includes a movie night, dinner with university administrators, karaoke, and President Paul LeBlanc’s welcome to new students and parents. Classes will begin on Sept. 5.
