The McIninch Art Gallery at Southern New Hampshire University will present “The Artist’s Proof: Selections from Wingate Studio, Hinsdale, N.H., and Two Rivers Printmaking Studio, White River Junction, Vt.,” from Feb. 23 through April 11.  A reception will take place on Thursday, April 10, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in Walker Auditorium Robert Frost Hall.

In collaboration with the reception, the SNHU Chorus, with Instructor Christopher Hossfeld, will perform concurrently in the lobby of Robert Frost Hall.

Selections of artists’ work from two distinctly different printmaking workshops will illustrate the process and the final product of traditional intaglio printmaking techniques as well as lithography, photo etching and relief printmaking. These techniques are the expressive power of printmaking, which helps the artist generate a final product that can be bold, subdued, decorative or minimalist.

Artists from Two Rivers Printmaking Studio: Jennifer Anderson, Lois Beatty, Penelope Bennett, Susan Berry, Rachel Gross, Victoria Herzberg, Debra Jayne, Judy Lampe, Nori Lupfer, Elizabeth Mayor, Elinor Randall, Sue Schiller, Sheri Tomek, Nancy Wightman. From Wingate Studio: Meghan Brady, Gideon Bok, Walton Ford, Lise Lemeland, Aaron Noble.

Please call Debbie Disston at 603.629.4622, e-mail m.gallery@snhu.edu or visit http://www.snhu.edu/ online for additional information. The McIninch Art Gallery, which was made possible by a generous gift from the McIninch Foundation, is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Thursdays from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. The gallery is closed on Sundays. All gallery events are free and open to the public.
