Graduating high school seniors can get started on a university education while saving more than half the cost of tuition with Southern New Hampshire University’s New Advantage Program.

The SNHU Advantage Program will be offered at the university’s Salem and Nashua locations beginning next fall. It enables students to stay close to home, earn an associate degree or begin working on a bachelor’s degree and save on tuition. The Advantage Program costs nearly 60 percent less than the traditional undergraduate day program.

“This is the perfect alternative for a student who needs to work while attending college or one who does not feel ready for an on-campus experience,” said Linda Richelson, director of the university’s Salem location.  “Students can attend class in the morning and work in the afternoon, if they choose.”

“We offer a lot of one-to-one support, including tutoring and small classes,” said Karen Goodman, director of the Nashua location.  “Given the importance of a strong freshman year to college completion, this program is ideal for the student who may be a bit hesitant about the college experience.”

Students can complete up to 72 credits at a greatly discounted rate of $278 a credit in the Advantage Program. They then will be eligible to graduate with an associate degree. They may also choose to transfer their credits into a bachelor’s degree program, which they can pursue through SNHU on campus, on location at our centers or online.

“A big advantage is that all of the credits earned will be accepted, which is not often the case when students transfer between two schools,” Richelson said.  “Another plus is that because this is an off-site program, the distractions of dorm life and social pressures will not derail academic progress.”

SNHU Advantage accepts a limited number of students, so early application is encouraged.   Contact the university’s Nashua location at 603.881.8393 or the Salem location at 603.893.9600, or e-mail l.richelson@snhu.edu for admission information.
