Hammermeister Named NE-10 First Team All-Conference

SOUTH EASTON, Mass. – Senior Brandon Hammermeister (Calgary, ALB) of the Southern New Hampshire University ice hockey team was named  Northeast-10 First Team All-Conference, it was announced by the conference office on Saturday.  Hammermeister, the lone senior selected First Team, becomes just the first forward and second player in the five-year history of Northeast-10 hockey to be named All-Conference four times, as he was a Second Team choice in each of his first two seasons and a First Team selection as a junior and senior.

Hammermeister led the Penmen in scoring, racking up 18 goals and 19 assists for 37 points.  He registered at least one point in 18 of the 24 games he played in and recorded multiple points on 13 occasions.  The three-time Northeast-10 Player of the Week had two goals and three assists in a win over UMass Boston in the first round of the PAL/Stovepipe Tournament and closed out his career with his third career hat trick in a NE-10 semifinal loss to Saint Anselm.

Hammermeister finished his career with 73 goals and 76 assists for 149 points.  Those totals place him eighth in career points, tied for ninth in career goals and eight in career assists in Penmen program history.

SNHU finished with a 12-13-1 record and advanced to at least the semifinals of the Northeast-10 Tournament for the fifth straight season.
