SNHU’s Second Annual Granite Bowl
Set for April 27, Come Rain or Shine

Manchester, N.H. (March 11, 2008) – The second annual Granite Bowl flag football tournament will be held rain or shine on Sunday, April 27, at Southern New Hampshire University’s Larkin Field and Derryfield School soccer field. Games will begin at 9 a.m. and continue through 5 p.m.  This event is open to the public.

Granite Bowl 2008 is organized by the Event Management and Marketing class at Southern New Hampshire University. Students in this sport management program class obtain firsthand experience in planning and running events. We are a nonprofit organization funded by generous sponsors and registration fees. All proceeds from this event will be put into the Tuffy Phelps Scholarship fund. 

Granite Bowl 2008 rosters must have a minimum of seven players and a maximum of 15 players; all players must be 16 years of age or older. The team fee for seven to 10 players is $120; there is a $10 fee for each additional player. Register before April 14 and pay only $100 for seven to 10 players. If you don’t have a team, register as a free agent for $15. 

The tournament format is round robin. Teams with the best of records will advance to the championship. All teams are guaranteed to play at least three games. Every player will receive a Granite Bowl 2008 T-shirt, and a Granite Bowl 2008 Gift Bag. The winning team will receive a $500 cash prize, a trophy and free registration for Granite Bowl 2009.
