Shapiro Library welcomes two new University Staff.

Wednesday, March 12, 2008
Allison Benkwitt, Periodicals Librarian
Chris Cooper, Access Services Librarian

Chris Roy is the new Periodicals Supervisor and Shannon Quidore is the new Evening and Weekend Circulation Supervisor.

Chris started working in the library at the end of November. He most recently worked at the Rivier College Library in a variety of roles, including Library Building Supervisor, Circulation Desk Assistant, and Interlibrary Loan Department Assistant.  He covered the reference desk, supervised student workers, and opened and closed the library building.  Chris graduated from Rivier College with a Bachelor's Degree in English.  He hopes to earn a Master's degree in library science.

Chris’ duties include overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Periodicals Department, supervising student workers, and assisting users at the reference and circulation desks.  He can be contacted at x2164 or c.roy1@snhu.edu.

Shannon holds a B.A. in anthropology from the University of New Hampshire and a B.S. in elementary education from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She has more than 10 years of experience as an educator, with her most recent experience coming as the Director of Learning at Amherst Knowledge Points where she oversaw a tutoring program for students of all levels. Shannon’s teaching, management and interpersonal skills have made her transition into the library realm an immediate success.

Shannon’s duties include managing the library circulation desk during evening hours, supervising student workers, and assisting patrons with reference questions.  She can be contacted at x2193 or s.quidore@snhu.edu

Longtime library staff members were pleased to learn of Shannon’s previous connection to Shapiro Library  --  she is the godchild of Luzi Pantano and the late Dick Pantano.

Please welcome Chris and Shannon to SNHU!
