Academic Advising Information for Undergraduate Day students

At Southern New Hampshire University, all first-year students in the undergraduate day program are required to enroll in the course SNHU 101- First Year Seminar: Scholarship for Success. The instructor for the course serves as the student’s academic advisor for the first year.

After the first year, students are assigned an academic advisor in the school of their selected major. The Academic Advising Office coordinates the assignment of academic advisors after the first-year. Students deciding not to declare a major by the end of the first year are assigned an advisor in the Academic Advising Office. Advising office services are available to all students, and particular attention is given to the Exploratory Studies students. Services include academic counseling, course planning and selection, educational, and career planning.
