Web Survey Tool Instructions
Qualtrics should be used for all SNHU surveys and should replace Select Survey, Survey Monkey, Zoomerang, and all other web-based survey tools that may be in use. If you need assistance migrating data from these systems, please contact Aaron Flint at a.flint@snhu.edu or 603-645-9678 to explore migration options.
All faculty, staff, and students are eligible to use Qualtrics at no charge for SNHU-related surveys.
The Qualtrics feature set exceeds most other web-based survey tools that are commonly used. Some of the features of Qualtrics are:
- a wizard to help build surveys, requiring no prior training
- dozens of sample surveys on various topics to customize for your own use
- integrated sending and tracking of e-mail invitations and automatically generated reminder e-mails
- 80+ question types to choose from
- Polling
- integrated graphics and statistical tools
- ability to download data into Excel or SPSS with the full syntax retained
Enter your SNHU e-mail address and a password on the Qualtrics registration page.
Important: You must use your SNHU email address as this is what tells Qualtrics you are eligible to create an account. Non-SNHU e-mail addresses may not be used. No exceptions.
Enter your SNHU e-mail address and password at the Qualtrics login page (then add this page to your Favorites/Bookmarks for later use)
All new accounts are initially set to the default level which limits the number of survey responses to 500, the number of active surveys to 3, and the total number of surveys (active and inactive) to 15. You may request an upgrade to your account if you are faculty or staff, or if you are a student working for faculty, staff, or student organizations. Upgraded accounts have no limits on the number of surveys or responses. To request an upgrade, contact Aaron Flint, Qualtrics administrator for SNHU at a.flint@snhu.edu or 603-645-9678.
Instructional Support will provide regular training workshops for Qualtrics users. We will schedule introductory workshops for new users as well as advanced workshops for experienced users. In addition to workshops we are also available to schedule individual training sessions and provide consultation on survey design and data analysis.
