Dr. Fenton taught writing and English in high schools in NY and NH and was Director of Curriculum & Instruction in a local school district. Her dissertation examines strategies for improving literacy in college freshmen. Reading and writing success of students in high school and college is a special interest. She has taught courses as a Visiting Professor of English and joined the School of Education in 2008. She enjoys preparing teachers to meet the reading and writing needs of their students.
