Shapiro Library will release its new online library catalog

On August 27 Shapiro Library will release its new online library
catalog. The new catalog will improve searching of the Shapiro Library
and GMILCS libraries collections through new features such as:

• Relevancy ranking of search results
• "Did you mean?" suggestions for misspelled search words
• Ability to save searches and have results emailed to you at
  specified intervals
• RSS feed for new titles

Additionally, you will still be able to:

• Renew books online
• Request books and other items from the Shapiro Library and
  GMILCS libraries
• Create title lists

The catalog upgrade will occur between August 21 and August 27. While
you will still be able to search the old catalog during that time, item
check-in/check-out information will not be updated and features such as
requests, renewals, my account, and my list will be disabled. If you
have material stored in the "My List" area, this information will not be
carried over into the new system. Please make sure that you have printed
or emailed yourself a copy of this information before August 27.
