Writing Contests
An annual contest offering $100 to a graduating senior from Southern New Hampshire University's Undergraduate Day School who submits the best essay on a literary subject.
The essay must be based on a literary analysis and must have been written for an SNHU literature class (LIT 200, 300, 400 level) at some point during the student's time at the University.
2009 award winner: Ian Nicholas' "Blood Meridian’s Deconstruction of Morality"
Winners receive $100 and publication in Amoskeag: The Journal of Southern New Hampshire University, a literary magazine published each year in April.
Submit:
- Prose (short stories or creative essays, up to 6 pages)
- Poetry (2-4 poems)
