The Department of English Language and Literature at Southern New Hampshire University is housed within the School of Liberal Arts. Here students will find a dedicated faculty committed to engaging students in a number of ways.

Our courses offer an exposure to an array of literature from varying time periods and emphasize close textual analysis through class discussion, writing and critical thinking. The only qualification to becoming a literature or creative writing major is curiosity. So if you are curious about the world and what studies in literature and creative writing can offer, we invite you to let us help you make the most of your undergraduate education.
