Faculty Development Travel Grant


The Southern New Hampshire University Faculty Center for Innovation and Excellence in Teaching will provide a limited number of Teaching Development Travel Grants for full time SNHU faculty members to attend approved teaching conferences in order support the scholarship of teaching at SNHU.

The travel grant will cover the cost of conference registration, lodging and flight to the conference. Participants who receive the grant will be required to present a summary of the important topics no later than the semester following the conference. Individuals are eligible to receive one travel grant per academic year, although an individual may apply for multiple conferences.

Interested faculty members should supply the following information to faculty.center@snhu.edu by October 1, 2008. Preference will be given to participants presenting at the conference.

The Faculty Center Steering Committee will review proposals and send notification in a timely manner

  1. Background information: Name, rank, department, email, courses taught
  2. Description of Activity: What do you plan on attending? Are you planning on submitting a proposal? If so, what will you present?
  3. Rationale Narrative: How does your attendance at this conference improve teaching and learning at Southern New Hampshire University? What particular interests or expertise do you have that would be of benefit at this conference (no more than 1000 words)
