American Sign Language Club

American Sign Language Club (ASL Club) is a club in which students and faculty are welcomed to learn sign language and about deaf culture. Each meeting starts out with review, and is followed by learning something new. Participation is vital, and members are encouraged to come in with information, ideas, and questions. Members aren’t required to have any background of ASL, but experienced individuals are welcomed. In ASL all members are both student and teacher, all members learn with each other. In the near future though, an interpreter is expected to be coming once a month to assist. Other activities and goals of ASL Club are a sign movie night, song signing, teaching sign to elementary classes, and a sign scavenger hunt.
