CED Student Project - Claudia Lima
Claudia Lima, of Montebello, Calif., is creating an employment program for the Pico Union community's 18- to 25-year-olds, who have been found to be the predominate perpetrators of crime in the area and have the highest unemployment rates. Her thesis focuses on "jobs versus crime" theories and seeks to recommend strategies for connecting young men and women with job opportunities in Los Angeles' revitalized downtown sector nearby.
Lima is a loan officer with the Low Income Investment Fund in Los Angeles and has a B.S. in business from the University of Southern California.
