Gorillas Living On The Edge: Literally And Figuratively

New Directions Lecture By  Dr. Michele L. Goldsmith

As wildlife around the globe continue to dwindle, researchers try desperately to identify and solve the many threats they face. On Thursday, Dec. 4, from 3:30 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. in Walker Auditorium, join Dr. Michele L. Goldsmith as she discusses the impacts of a growing population, tourism, and the emergence of infectious diseases on the endangered mountain gorillas of Uganda. With eight years of field experience, Goldsmith will share some possible solutions to this environmental issue and the ethics behind a conservation strategy.
