Red Cross Seeking Volunteers for SNHU Shelter

Hello volunteers!

The Red Cross has set up a shelter at the Southern New Hampshire University gymnasium for those who do not have power.  This shelter is a place where people can have a warm place to sleep and get three meals a day.  We are in need of volunteers to help staff all shifts. The shifts are normally 12 hours (8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and 8 p.m. to 8 a.m.) but the need is so great that the Red Cross will take any hours volunteers can give.

The tasks could be anything from running the registration table to sign people in and out of the shelter, washing cots and serving food, cleaning and restocking the snack bar, even emptying trash cans or scrubbing down the tables where people eat.

We are also in need of volunteers to help run errands during the day at the Greater Manchester Chapter, such as deliver coffee and supplies, etc. to the different shelters.

If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Erin Pringle at e.pringle@snhu.edu, or 603-645-9608 ext. 2133.
