SNHU Professor Eleanor Dunfey-Freiburger Honored for Outstanding Achievement

 Eleanor Dunfey-Freiburger, SNHU professor of ethics and civic engagement, was recently honored with Emmanuel College's Distinguished Alumnae Award.

Dunfey-Freiburger received her undergraduate degree from Emmanuel College and for three years was its dean of students. Dunfey-Freiburger says Emmanuel College “shaped my own teaching philosophy.”

Dunfey-Freiburger is SNHU's first professor of ethics and civic engagement. Since leaving the  chair two years ago,  she has been in charge of the Civic Engagement/Service Learning initiative. In this role, Dunfey-Freiburger works with faculty across the University to integrate scholarship and service into the curriculum. She also teaches Business Ethics and Contemporary Moral Issues, and works with student leaders in various University wide initiatives.
