SNHU Academic Archive Project

The SNHU Academic Archive is an online institutional repository providing open, worldwide access to faculty and student research and other scholarly works. The Academic Archive is made possible by a $500,000 National Leadership Grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services.

Currently the library is digitizing faculty papers and dissertations from SNHU's International Business program, as well as faculty papers from other disciplines at SNHU. Before the institutional repository was available, most of these works were only accessible as hard copies from the library or individual faculty offices. Digitizing these works and adding them to the Academic Archive greatly add to the value of these documents, making them accessible to off-campus students and researchers worldwide. Repository statistics are already showing access from more than 60 countries.

In 2009-2010, the library digitized student thesis projects from the past 25 years of student participation in the School of Community Economic Development graduate program. More than 400 student thesis projects are now available in the SNHU Academic Archive. If you are a SCED alum and would like for your work to be available to researchers worldwide, please fill out the approval form  and return to the Shapiro Library at the address below, or contact Digital Initiatives Librarian Christopher Cooper at c.cooper@snhu.edu.
