SNHU Wind Ensemble

The SNHU Wind Ensemble was originally formed in 2009 as the Southern New Hampshire Community Band.  This ensemble quickly grew to a very large 130+ members.  In the spring of 2012, formal auditions were added and the group was restructured into its current large wind ensemble instrumentation.

The SNHU Wind Ensemble is made up of students, local music teachers and other community members.  SNHU students and returning community members audition for placement only.  New community members wishing to join the ensemble will need to audition for admission.

The SNHU Wind Ensemble has recently performed Johan de Meij’s ''Lord of the Rings'', Percy Grainger’s ''Lincolnshire Posy'', Alfred Reed’s ''Othello'', David Maslanka's ''Symphony No. 4'' and Rick Cook’s ''Symphony #2'', as well as lighter selections such as ''Star Wars'' and ''Sleigh Ride''.

If you are interested in joining the SNHU Wind Ensemble, please contact Rick Cook at  Participation is Free. SNHU Students may earn 1 academic credit per semester.
