Full-time - Dean, School of Business

As one of the most vibrant and growing institutions in New England, Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU) invites nominations and expressions of interest for the position of Dean of the School of Business.  This position represents a unique leadership opportunity to re-invent SNHU’s flagship school and take it to the next level. The Dean will hire and lead the faculty in new academic initiatives to foster intellectual excitement while continuing its 75+ years of commitment to northern New England’s business and philanthropic communities.

The School of Business is committed to preparing students for leadership in business and the community.  Its career-focused and competency-based education develops theoretical and practical business knowledge, social and ethical values, and an international perspective that prepares graduates for the challenges they will confront in the ever-changing global economy.  The School offers over 15 undergraduate and 12 graduate degree programs, including a Global MBA that was recently named Best MBA 2008 by the New Hampshire Business Review.  The School also offers a distinct program in forensic accounting and fraud examination and a D.B.A. in international business. With a complement of 64 full-time and 300 adjunct faculty, the School serves 2,841 undergraduate and 1,440 graduate students in on-campus, off-campus and online programs.

The Dean is the chief academic, fiscal, and administrative officer of the School of Business and reports directly to the Vice President of Academic Affairs and Dean of the Faculty.  The successful candidate should possess an earned doctorate/terminal degree as well as a record of teaching, research and service.  Ideally the Dean will have had five or more years of successful management experience.  Work experience in a leadership position in business will be advantageous.  He/she must demonstrate a commitment to diversity, have a record of leadership characterized by collegiality and integrity, and demonstrate acumen in fundraising and external relations.
