SNHU Advantage Program
Earns National Recognition
Manchester, N.H. (July 1, 2009) – Southern New Hampshire University’s Advantage Program received the Association for Continuing Higher Education’s 2009 award for Outstanding Services to the Underserved Populations. The award will be presented at the ACHE Annual Conference and Meeting on Nov. 18 in Philadelphia.
“This award puts SNHU on the map in terms of offering affordable access to new students,” said Ellen Ryder Griffin, dean for SNHU’s School of Professional and Continuing Education. “ACHE has a long tradition of recognizing innovative and student-centered programs."
Lauded nationally as a “first-of-its-kind” program, the SNHU Advantage Program will expand its presence in the state and will be offered in the fall at the university’s Nashua, Salem and Seacoast continuing education centers.
The award recognizes ACHE members for their innovative lifelong learning programs that demonstrate outstanding service to underserved populations. Both credit and non-credit programs are eligible for nomination.
