SNHU Alumni are now able to access thousand of reliable journals, magazines and newspapers in well-know library databases from their homes or offices.  Shapiro Library has always permitted alumni to borrow library books and other material and to use the many online resources on site.  Over the years alumni have expressed an interest in having remote access to the library online resources after they graduate, however, academic libraries must sign license agreements that only permit active students, faculty and staff to connect remotely to online resources.  Recently a number of leading library database providers began selling alumni packages to schools.

Shapiro Library has signed a license agreement with EBSCO to provide access to their 'Academic Search Alumni Edition' and 'Business Source Alumni Edition'.  Alumni now have free full-text access to more than 4,700 scholarly journals and magazines covering a wide range of disciplines. In addition, access to indexes and abstracts are available for more than 12,000 additional journals and magazines. National, international, and regional newspapers can be found in 'Newspaper Source' and 'Regional Business News.'

Access is available via the SNHU Alumni Community  Alumni need only register for an account.
