SNHU Earns Gold Circle Achievement Awards

Manchester, N.H. (Oct. 1, 2009) – Southern New Hampshire University’s Sport Management Department, School of Education and International Student Services office, were recognized at the 21st Annual Gold Circle Partnership Awards ceremony.

Sponsored by the New Hampshire Partners in Education, the Gold Circle Awards celebrate the valuable partnerships that schools and volunteer programs have with local businesses.

SNHU was nominated by Hooksett’s David R. Cawley Middle School for its work in the community.

The Sport Management Dept. worked with Cawley Middle School on “Fitness Friday,” a program where middle school students attend open gym prior to the school day.  SNHU sport management students served as program volunteers.

The School of Education and International Student Services partnered with Cawley to introduce audio and hands-on interactive classroom diversity presentations by 12 SNHU international students from seven countries. Students represented Bosnia, India, Japan, Mali, Morocco, Taiwan and the Philippines.
