SNHU to Host its First-Ever Pumpkin Festival
Manchester, N.H. (Oct. 13, 2009) – Southern New Hampshire University’s Office of Service & Community Involvement is hosting the SNHU Pumpkin Festival on Saturday, Oct. 31, from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. at its main Manchester campus.
All donations go to Camp Sunshine, which supports children with life threatening illnesses and their families. The camp has the distinction of being the only program in the nation whose mission is to address the impact of a life threatening illness on every member of the immediate family—the ill child, the parents, and the siblings. Since its inception, Camp Sunshine has provided a haven for over 30,000 individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds.
Pumpkin Festival activities will include pumpkin carving, music, face painting, coloring contests for kids, among many other games and attractions for all ages.
This event is open to the public. Pumpkins will be available at the event; visitors can bring their own to display.
