SNHU Honored at 2009 NACA Northeast Conference
Manchester, N.H. (November 20, 2009) – Southern New Hampshire University was recognized for its exemplary performance by the National Association for Campus Activities at its 2009 Northeast conference in Hartford, CT.
Heather Lorenz, assistant dean for Student Rights, was presented with the Donald L. McCullough Award, the most prestigious honor that NACA Northeast offers. It is presented to an individual who has devoted his/her time to NACA Northeast and has demonstrated exceptional talent in the area of student activities.
Casey Bandarra, a 2008 SNHU alumna, received the David A. Ross New Professional Award, which is intended to recognize an individual who is dedicated to achieving excellence in NACA Northeast and their personal institutions.
SNHU’s Coordinators of Activities and Programming Events initiative received an award for Excellence in Programming. The Excellence in Programming Award is split into three categories by the number of students enrolled at the institution, and submissions are presented during the Regional Conference.
NACA advances campus activities in higher education through a business and learning partnership, creating educational and business opportunities for its school and professional members. Established in 1960 to help increase the buying power of campus programming dollars, NACA now has more than 1,000 college and university members and close to 650 associate members who represent artists, lecturers and performers.
