SNHU Student Named a Finalist
In AAF’s Most Promising Minority Program

Manchester, N.H. (November 23, 2009) – Southern New Hampshire University's Shabaz Hussain has been named a finalist in the American Advertising Federations Most Promising Minority Students Program. He will have the opportunity to network and interact with some of the top advertising agencies this February at a celebratory event in New York City.

Hussain, a senior advertising major from Lindenhurst, NY, started an AAF club at SNHU in September called AdGroup, which has grown rapidly in only three months.

"I was thrilled when I first received the notice,” says Hussain. “I have met with and seen others that said how much this award can significantly boost and accelerate careers. I am further impressed with the competition and how SNHU prepares its advertising students.”

The Most Promising Minority Students Program is intended to allow college seniors to showcase their abilities and to encourage diversity and multiculturalism in the advertising industry. Since development of the program in 1997, the AAF has bestowed hundreds of students with this prestigious honor.
