Transferring to SNHU has helped junior Amber Chandronnait flourish.
A business administration major from Bow, N.H., Amber had a difficult first year at the University of Nebraska, where she enrolled on a tennis scholarship.
“I went there and it was not how it was presented to me,” she says. “I decided I needed to be closer to home, someplace smaller that would encourage me to do well.”
SNHU made the transfer process easy and her new tennis teammates helped her adjust to the school, Amber says.
“I’ve learned to keep myself organized and driven to the goal,” she says.
Since transferring, Amber has achieved excellence on the court. A two-time winner of the Wilson/ITA East Regional tournament who has compiled a dominant singles record, she has been featured in Sports Illustrated’s well-known “Faces in the Crowd” section, which recognizes the accomplishments of young athletes from across the country.
When she graduates, Amber hopes to pursue a career in the sports industry.
“My real goal is to have my own tennis facility,” she says.
