Alumni & Career Development

Alumni are welcome to utilize the services offered through the Career Development Center (CDC):

Not only can you utilize the CDC resources, but you can also act as a resource to current SNHU students. The CDC offers you the opportunity to enhance the careers of current students through informational interviewing, networking and becoming an Alumni Mentor via SNHU Recruit.

CareerShift
CareerShift is an online resource that allows you to search jobs nationally and connect with professionals. This resource collects the most recent jobs from all job boards and brings the information to your personal account based on your search. You can collect contact cards and gather information of professionals based on position, company, industry or affiliation. With CareerShift, you can create print and email resume campaigns, as well as set reminders in regards to following-up on your campaigns. CareerShift is an excellent career planning and job searching resource.

You must use your SNHU email address to create your account. If your SNHU email address is no longer valid, please email careerdevelopment@snhu.edu to gain access to CareerShift.

Networking and Mentoring
Networking cannot only help you in your career, but it also allows you to influence the careers of others. By developing networking contacts through past and present employers, family and friends and the use of social media, you will be able to gain vital career information. Use the CDC to start your networking process and further your career!

Developing a strong network is essential in the working world, which is why the CDC connects current students with an Alumni Mentor. As an Alumni Mentor, you will act as a resource to students in areas of informational interviewing, networking, industry research, and employment and internship opportunities. To become an Alumni Mentor, please log onto SNHU Recruit. Acting as a mentor will not only help current SNHU students, it will also allow you to develop your network and stay connected with your alma mater.

Changing Your Career?
Transitions from one career to another are common after graduating from college. This stressful, yet exciting process does not have to be pursued alone! The CDC is here to help make the transition easier. By providing you with career planning and job search resources, SNHU Recruit and CareerShift to explore new options, the CDC wants to aid you in the transition process. Please contact a Career Counselor to discuss your options by calling the office at 603.645.9630 or emailing us at careerdevelopment@snhu.edu.
