Sport Management Department

The Sport Management Department is excited to present Mary McVeigh from Dartmouth College and “Soccer Without Borders," Tuesday, March 2, at 6 p.m. in Walker Auditorium. Mary has just returned from Nicaragua and will share her experiences. This presentation will be required for all sport management majors and we welcome guests.

Soccer Without Borders is a nonprofit organization based in San Francisco, CA, whose mission is to use soccer as a vehicle for positive change in the lives of marginalized youth.

Soccer Without Borders runs community-led, year-round youth development programs in under-served areas in the USA and abroad. Using the powerful mediums of soccer and life-skills education, their activities help young people come into a greater understanding of their bodies, voices, minds and communities, and encourage them to make healthy choices for their futures.

Please visit the Soccer Without Borders website for more information about the various project sites and the work they're doing.
