Sport Management Department

Join us for an informational session to learn more about this exciting opportunity, Thursday, April 29, at 5 p.m. in the Academic Center, Room 207.

Explore the development of sport and the ideas and practices of completion and excellence in ancient Greek culture when you tour Athens and Olympia, birthplace of the Olympics. Visit the Temple of Poseidon and the Island of Hydra on your cruise along the Saronic Gulf. Additional stops on your trip include the Acropolis, Delphi, Mycenae and more. We carry many legacies of the Greeks, of which democracy and the Olympics are among the most obvious.

This course is a SPT / PHL elective and will be team-taught by professors of philosophy and sport management. Winter Break is scheduled for Jan. 4 to Jan. 13, 2011 and the trip is open to undergraduate and graduate students.

For more information, please contact Professor Blais or Professor Hunt-Bull.
