CED 861 - Nonprofit Management
This is a foundations course in nonprofitýmanagement for experienced nonprofit managers. Itýapproaches nonprofit management from theýperspective of what effective community-basedýdevelopment organizations (CBOs, CDCs) andýnongovernmental organizations (NGOs) should doýwell. The course is designed as an integrativeýexperience for advanced graduate students toýenhance both theoretical and practical knowledge.ýIt presumes familiarity with nonprofit management,ýpublic administration, program planning, the roleýof volunteer boards, staff and communityýstakeholders. Prerequisite: None for MA or Ph.D.ýstudents. MS students need CED707A&B or ICD515 orýits equivalent, and instructor permission.
