CED 862 - Organizational Analysis for CED
This is an advanced skills-based course inýquantitative organizational analysis forýexperienced nonprofit managers. It presumesýfamiliarity with nonprofit management or publicýadministration, and approaches nonprofitýmanagement from the perspective of what effectiveýcommunity-based development organizations (CBOs,ýCDCs) and nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) doýwell in core functions: organizational mission &ýgovernance; corporate structure & managementýpractices; revenue performance & sustainability;ýand contributions to CED. Student teams will use aýsurvey instrument to query a client; develop anýorganizational analysis; prepare a professionalýreport outlining action recommendations, andýpresent it to the client. This is an advancedýcourse in the nonprofit management specialization,ýand acts as an elective in the doctoral methodsýsequence. Prerequisite: CED861.
