Computer Information Technology (B.S.)
Request InformationThe message from industry is that there is a need for a combined capability of IT and general business skills. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics predicts the information technology sector will add 1.15 million jobs by 2012, an annual growth rate of 3.1 percent, compared to a projected overall U.S. job growth rate of 1.4 percent over the same period. The SNHU is well positioned to respond to this need, with IT classes that provide graduates with a solid foundation for entering the new business landscape. Students can focus their elective courses to concentrate on such areas such as digital graphics, IT security, game design, global IT management and other high-demand areas.
People who can bridge the gap between information technology and business are valuable but hard to find, and the demand for this new breed of IT professional is growing. The SNHU IT major prepares students for just these kinds of positions.
