Debate Society
The Debate Society at Southern New Hampshire University provides an opportunity for students to engage in intellectual discussion on issues in our local and global society. Students learn and practice the art of public debate and exchange thoughts and arguments with their peers and professors.
Our goal is to challenge students intellectually and academically, and to put them on the path to becoming exceptional public speakers. Debates are based on British parliamentary style, a topic is chosen and students are given two weeks to prepare. All debates are held in the Robert Frost Hall, where the whole university community is invited to watch and attend.
Past events:
Debated Genocide intervention, global warming, and beauty pageants.
How to join:
E-mail us at debate@snhu.edu or come speak to us after a debate.
