Ben Sutch '00
Hometown: Brighton, UK
High School: Exeter High School (Exeter, NH)
SNHU Graduating Class of: 2000
Involvement at SNHU: Freshman Class President, Student Government Association Vice President, Student Government Association President, Crew Team (Co-Founder & Captain), Student Ambassador, New Student Orientation Team
Reason for choosing SNHU: SNHU offered me the chance to be part of a pioneering new three year baccalaureate program in business administration. The opportunity to be part of a cutting edge new program was the chance of a lifetime and I leapt at it.
Favorite thing about SNHU: For me, Southern New Hampshire University was a warm, friendly and inviting campus and therefore the perfect place for a student eager to meet a wide array of different people and to be involved in varied organizations. SNHU provided the right blend of New England academia with a youthful spirit to let my creative energy run free.
Favorite thing about 3Year: At the end of each semester, the three year program allows students a chance to test their abilities in an experience known as Integrating Experience. Thrown into groups, presented with a difficult set of real life business scenarios and given an impossible deadline to deliver the incredible was the chance for me to test my mettle and see if I could succeed in a sharp and tough business environment. I loved every minute of it!
Current Occupation: I work with KeyBank NA as a Finance Consultant in their regional Boston office. Charged with developing new business for the bank, my fellow colleagues and I run rampant across the US with a high powered goal to increase business 25% each year for the next five years. I work particularly with private independent high schools in the southeast and California helping them develop their tuition revenue structures to better meet the demands of their internal cash flows and the needs of their families.
How has the three year program helped you? Well, in just three short years the three year program equipped me with the tools to charge into the business community confident in the knowledge that I could immediately play ball with the best of them. I gave presentations until I was blue in the face and today feel confident that a crowd of 200 is an oratory adventure just begging to begin.
The three year program took a young, untested and youthful charisma and molded a knowledgeable graduate, ready to don a jacket and tie, eager to join the team, lead if necessary, and never look back.
