Parking Decals
You must obtain SNHU parking decals for any vehicle you drive on campus. Student decals are valid from September 1 to August 31 of the following year. The price is Resident Freshmen, new or Transfer Student $150, returning Resident Students $100 and Commuter Students $45 per student payable at Student Administrative Services. Decal for a second vehicle will be issued for $10.00 upon presentation of a valid registration. Only one vehicle at a time may be kept on campus, however, due to the limited number of parking spaces.
Parking decals are issued with a "C" for commuting students or a "W" for resident students living on the West side of North River Road, a "F" for resident freshmen, A "WHW" for residents of Windsor and Hampton (first come first serve) and a "E" for students living in Conway and Lincoln. If your residence status changes during the year, it is your responsibility to remove the old decal and to bring it (even in shreds) to the Office of Public Safety to exchange it for the correct decal. Failure to make the exchange may result in the loss of on campus driving and parking privileges and a $25 fine.
You will receive current parking regulations with your parking decal. Expect changes throughout the year as various construction projects get under way. It is your responsibility to monitor the Campus Weekly, the Observer and other university sources for notices regarding changes.
Alumni- who continue as students must purchase a decal.
Decals must be firmly affixed to the left, rear side window of the vehicle. If the vehicle has no left, rear side window, place the decal in the lower left corner of the windshield. Motorcycle decals are to be displayed on the left front fork.
Decals are not transferable. When changing vehicles, remove the old decal and turn it in for a new one, to avoid paying another first-decal fee. Lost or stolen decals will be replaced for $10.
Note, however, that any fraudulent use of a decal incurs a fine of $50. Any vehicle that does not match its decal may be "booted" until the matter is resolved.
Vehicles rented, leased, borrowed, or with temporary (paper) plates, must display temporary passes. If you have already paid for a decal, the pass is free; if not, you will be charged $5 per week.
Visitors: Vehicles belonging to your guests must be registered, have a visitor's permit hanging from the rear view mirror, and be parked in any lot where students are allowed to park.
Parking spots marked "Visitor" are only for those who are unfamiliar with the campus and only for short term visits or business contacts. They are not for students, staff, alumni, former students, those with facilities passes, registered guests or anyone displaying any SNHU vehicle identification.
Students who's parents are University faculty or Staff members, must have a student parking decal on their vehicles if they are the primary user.
