Enrollment Options
Participants may register for one or two weeks of the Institute; however, some Knowledge Track are designed to build upon knowledge from week to week. The ProPoor Enterprise Development (PPED) Knowledge Track has a prerequisite of attendance of Week One to attend Week Two unless prior approval of the course facilitator is obtained and we can only issue a Certificate in PPED if you attend the full two weeks of the PPED Knowledge Track. Tuition Discounts for Multiple Enrollments

Multiple participants from the same organization can benefit from our valuable training and take advantage of significant discounts when more than one staff member enrolls for the full two weeks of the Institute. Optional Academic Credit and Fees

Participants may take Institute classes for academic credit and earn up to 6 credits towards a 39 credit International Masters Degree in Community Economic Development (M.S. ICED). Academic credit candidates will complete a post course learning assessment and a research project for each 3 credit block they earn. Participants will work with an academic advisor and design a practical project or research paper that benefits their actual field work. The participant will meet with the academic advisor to determine appropriate time frames for completion of each assignment. The final assignment must be completed within six months after the MDI-Ghana.

Fees for Academic Credits

  • 3 Academic Credits $200
  • 6 Academic Credits $400

Daily Class Schedule:

Courses are held in either half day or full day sessions. Each Knowledge Track lasts for five days in Week One and Six Days in Week Two. Classes are held from 8:30 A.M. to Noon and 1:30 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. The Microfinance and PPED Tracks will include at least one field trip per week. Evening Dinner Speakers will be featured at least once per week.  For more information on field trips and speakers please see the "Special Offerings" page.

Registration Instructions

1. Complete a short Pre-Registration Survey which asks about your experience, sponsorship and other background. The survey may be found at this link www.regonline.com/176444

2. Complete the Full Registration Application. A link will be provided for you after you submit your completed Registration Survey.

You may register for one or two weeks of the Institute. You must register for only one Knowledge Track per week. Applicants will be notified no later than March 1, 2008 of class availability.

Payments:
GHAMFIN will accept payment via check or wire transfers for students from INSIDE Ghana in Ghana Cede. Southern New Hampshire University will accept payment via check, credit cards or wire transfers for students from OUTSIDE Ghana in U.S. $. Payments either in full or a deposit of $500 must be received within 10 days of receipt of your application. Balance of any outstanding payment is due before arrival at the Institute.

Refund Policy:
If you cannot attend the Institute, you may request a refund in writing. Requests received before March 15, 2008 will be refunded in full, less a $100 processing fee. There will be no refunds for cancellation received after that date.
