  • December 10, 2007 Blackboard System Maintenance Planned
Blackboard will be unavailable beginning Wednesday, Dec. 26 through Friday, Dec. 28 for system maintenance. This downtime is necessary to “clean” the system, resulting in better performance for everyone. Technically speaking, older courses are being archived and the space used by those older courses is being freed up. It will take three days due to the enormous amount of disk space that the university utilizes.
Notices will be posted on the Blackboard login page beginning 2 weeks prior to remind students, faculty and staff. Once the Blackboard system is back online, we will change the login page notification to indicate the system is back online.
Thanks in advance for your understanding and cooperation while we work to maintain SNHU systems.

On Friday, April 27, SNHU was inundated with e-mail to the point where our e-mail system was simply overwhelmed and could not keep up with the onslaught. There are two potential consequences of what transpired last Friday: (1) some incoming e-mail may have been returned to the sender with the message “access denied”; (2) the spam filter was shut down during the day on Friday to allow faster processing of e-mail, therefore you may have received spam in your InBox which normally would not appear.
Thanks to the efforts of Joe Zaleski, the e-mail system kept running and finally settled down late Friday evening and has been working normally since.
