MDI-NH Accommodations

Location: The Institute is held on the campus of Southern New Hampshire University, located in south-central New Hampshire in the city of Manchester, USA. Summer in New Hampshire is beautiful, and on weekends we offer optional field trips to historic Boston and the Sea Coast for which New Hampshire is famous. By car it is about one hour north of Boston, Massachusetts; two and a half hours from Hartford, Connecticut; and five hours from New York City. Detailed directions will be sent upon acceptance of your application.

Note: There are frequent flights from Manchester, New Hampshire to Washington, DC.

Participants stay in university housing on campus and have access to all university facilities, including a state-of-the-art computer center, wireless Internet access available in many campus buildings, extensive business and microenterprise libraries, and complete athletic facilities, including a 25-meter indoor pool and a fitness center (fee required).

Accommodation and Fees: On-campus housing is in a private room in an apartment shared with up to 3 other MDI-NH students. Each apartment is equipped with a kitchen with full cooking facilities, cooking utensils, a refrigerator, a living area, and a shared bathroom. Each bedroom has a telephone and Internet connection (a cable is required). Participants who prefer cooking their own meals may purchase inexpensive food and additional cooking supplies at local supermarkets. Bathrooms and common areas are cleaned three times each week. Students are provided a set of sheets and towels for the duration of the stay. Washers and dryers are available on campus for washing sheets, towels and personal effects.

Meals - The MDI-NH will provide students with lunch every week day and one dinner per week. A wide variety of foods are available including vegetarian, halal and kosher choices. All other meals can be purchased at the SNHU cafeteria or prepared in apartment kitchens. We will provide shopping trips to local supermarkets and other stores most nights. Average cost for meals purchased on campus is $15.00 to $20.00 per day (breakfast-lunch-dinner).
