Women's Tennis Bows to Bryant 7-2

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Southern New Hampshire University women’s tennis team closed out the fall portion of its 2007-08 schedule with a 7-2 loss to Bryant University Saturday afternoon.  The Bulldogs improved to 3-1 overall and 2-0 in the Northeast-10, while the Penmen are now 1-3 overall and in the league.

Junior Meghan Welch (Mont Vernon, NH) posted a win for the Penmen at No. 6 singles, defeating Bryant’s Heather Fedesco 8-5.  Kristen Franco (Bedford, NH) and Amanda Nason (Center Sandwich, NH) were winners at No. 2 doubles for SNHU, posting a 9-8 victory.
