Boland, Stoodley Named to NE-10 Honor Rolls
SOUTH EASTON, Mass. – Senior Laurie Boland (Worcester, MA) of the Southern New Hampshire University women’s soccer team and freshman Casey Stoodley (Salem, NH) of the Penmen volleyball team have each been named to their respective Northeast-10 Conference weekly honor rolls, it was announced by the conference office Monday afternoon.
Boland was honored after notching the game-winning goal in a 2-1 win over Le Moyne with just 1:19 remaining on a free kick on Saturday. The senior, who also notched an assist in a 2-1 setback to Bentley on Tuesday, leads the Penmen with six goals and four assists for 16 points this season. She also was named to the Northeast-10 All-Academic Team for the third time in her career last week.
Stoodley averaged 2.56 kills and 3.11 digs per game in a 2-1 week for the Penmen. In a 3-0 win over Southern Connecticut on Saturday, Stoodley finished with 10 kills without an error and recorded a .714 hitting percentage while also registering 10 digs and four service aces. For the season she has recorded 141 kills, third on the squad, while leading the team with 33 service aces and ranking second in digs with 214.
