SOUTH EASTON, Mass. – Senior Laurie Boland (Worcester, MA) and junior Cary Rivett (Uxbridge, MA) of the Southern New Hampshire University women’s soccer team were named to the Northeast-10 Women’s Soccer All-Conference team announced on Sunday afternoon.  Boland and Rivett were both Second Team selections.

For Boland, it marks her second All-Conference selection, as she was a Third Team choice in 2005.  This season, Boland was one of five players to start all 19 games for the Penmen and she led the team in scoring with six goals and six assists for 18 points.  She recorded three game-winning goals on the season, including game-winners in back to back victories over Pace and Assumption that netted her NE-10 Player of the Week honors.

Rivett was a mainstay for the Penmen defensively, as she also started all 19 contests while helping to lead a defense that posted six shutouts and allowed just 21 goals over 19 games.  She notched a goal in a 2-1 double-overtime loss to Bentley late in the season.  Over her three-year career, Rivett has played in every possible game (55) while starting in 50 contests.
