Web Site FAQs

Who do I go to with questions about my area's web content?

  • School of Business: Pat Gerard
  • School of Liberal Arts: Fred Lord
  • School of Education: Ellen Kalicki
  • School of Community Economic Development: Anthony Poore
  • School of Professional & Continuing Education; Ellen Griffin
  • Student Life: Scott Tierno
  • Institutional Advancement: Don Brezinski
  • Marketing & Communication: Curtis Kimball

How do I get pictures or PDF files onto the web?

All assets posted to the web need to be in brand (PDF 893 kb). Send branded files to webfeedback@snhu.edu
Marketing will load them into the system and they will be available for your use.

    Who updates the Faculty Lists?

Faculty lists on the web are generated directly out of Datatel. Each school has someone who is responsible for updating faculty information in Datatel. Please check with your supervisor about who to notify in your school if someone is missing or erroneously still on the list.

How do I make changes to a course description?

Course Descriptions are pulled directly from Datatel. If you believe that a course description is missing, or incorrect, please go through the proper channels within your school to have those changes approved and then sent to the VPAA's office. All the changes will flow from there.

How do I make changes to a Program/Degree description or list of required courses?

Go through your school and submit changes to the VPAA's office.
In order to maintain consistency with printed marketing materials and with the information in PENpal, these pages can only be updated by Marketing & Communication (for the descriptions) and the Registrar's office (for the list of required courses). The goal is to have the information be 100% up to date, and otherwise consistent with Major sheets/Data sheets/Planning sheets.

What is the status of the Intranet?

We have postponed creating an intranet. In the meantime you can add or access content from on campus through the shared drive folder: file://Enterprise/data/D/EVERYONE/WebIntranetfiles.

Can I help by becoming a web content editor?

We have a limited number of licenses for editors. Most web content editors have already been identified and trained. Most likely somone else is already responsible for updating the page content. If not, here is a checklist that may help you decided if you should ask about becoming an editor. If ALL of the below apply, contact your supervisor to find out who is the web contact in your area and ask them about becoming an editor.

    • Are you a full time staff member with an snhu.edu e-mail address? (not part time or a grad student)
    • Are you responsible for the content of a section of text on the web?
    • Does that content change at least once a week?
    • Are you comfortable using e-mail and Microsoft Word?

If you are responsible for content, but it doesn't change very often, chances are that there is already someone in your division/school that has access to make those changes on your behalf. If changes are very rare, or if you are unable to identify someone to help, please send all requests to webfeedback@snhu.edu and we will route the request to the appropriate person.

    Have another question?

Each Wednesday, members of the web team are available for Wednesday Web Workshops to answer questions and to help trained editors make changes to the site. Feel free to stop by, or simply ask us now.
