Women's Basketball to "Think Pink" on Saturday

MANCHESTER, N.H. – The Southern New Hampshire University women’s basketball team will participate in the Women’s Basketball Coaches’ Association “Think Pink Week” to raise breast cancer awareness on Saturday, February 9 when the Penmen host Pace University at 1:30 pm.  SNHU is one of over 600 schools nationally that will take part in the effort, which extends from February 8-17, 2008.

Fans attending Saturday’s game are encouraged to wear pink to support those individuals battling breast cancer, and all fans who wear pink to the game will be admitted free of charge.  The first 200 fans wearing pink will receive door prizes as well.  There will also be a free raffle for Visa and gas gift cards sponsored by the SNHU Wellness Center.

In addition, the women’s basketball team will be wearing special edition pink SNHU basketball t-shirts during warm-ups and on the bench.  A limited number of these shirts will also be available for sale with proceeds going to benefit cancer charities.  Donations to benefit these same charities will also be accepted.
