Introduction to Research design and methods, withýfocus on critical thinking, research techniques,ýand adopting a unifying theory of research.ýContent includes theory of research (concepts,ýtypes of validity, design, and analyticalýframework to review research findings); theýpractice of research (formulating researchableýquestions, operational variables, literatureýreview) including applications to CED theory,ýpolicy and practice; sampling, measurement,ýanalysis; critique of CED research design inýpolicy, evaluation and applied studies; andýreporting research results. A parallel CED801 Labýin Statistic/SPSS is required. PREREQUISITE:ýGraduate-level Statistics or MAT220.
