ERM covers 2 core models with broad application toýCED theory, policy, and practice:ýScientific-experimental: experimental &ýquasi-experimental designs, objectives basedýresearch, econometric cost-benefit &ýcost-effectiveness analysis, and theory-drivenýevaluation. Participant-oriented: client,ýstakeholder, consumer-oriented evaluation. Otherýmodels are introduced: Management-orientedýsystems: PERT (Program Evaluation & ReviewýTechnique), CPM (Critical Path Method), LogicalýFramework (Logframe developed by USAID), GeneralýSystems Theory, Operations Research, appliedýProgram Review (used by NRC). Qualitative/ýanthropological: observation, naturalisticýevaluation (aka Fourth Generation evaluation),ýqualitative analysis, critical theory, andýGrounded Theory. Prerequisite: CED801 or facultyýpermission.
