This is an introductory survey course on economicýtheory, economic principles, and their applicationýto community economic development policy andýstrategy. It is designed to equip advancedýstudents with an understanding of appliedýeconomics. Students will examine the economicýproblems faced by communities and exploreýanalysis, policy and practice strategies toýaddress them. Emphasis is given to domestic andýinternational economic development issuesýaffecting underdeveloped and developing countries.ýStudents with a strong graduate-level backgroundýin economics and CED may request waiver of thisýcourse.
