Ball, Delanoy Named Men's Lacrosse All-Conference
SOUTH EASTON, Mass. – Mike Ball (Salem, NH) and John Delanoy (Lansdale, PA) of the Southern New Hampshire University men’s lacrosse team were named to the Northeast-10 All-Conference Team announced Sunday. Ball was named to the First Team, while Delanoy was a Second Team selection.
Ball, in his first full season with the men's lacrosse team after having his first season cut short due to injury, recorded 55 goals and five assists for 60 points in 12 games, tops in the Northeast-10. He led all of Division II in points and goals per game for a majority of the season and currently ranks fourth nationally in points and second in goals per game. Ball was a two-time Northeast-10 Player of the Week selection and recorded multiple goals in all 12 games for SNHU.
For Delanoy, it marks his third selection to the Northeast-10 All-Conference Team, as he was a First Team selection in 2006 and a second team selection in 2007. This season, Delanoy, a preseason All-American, ranked third on the Penmen in scoring, totaling 17 goals and 20 assists for 37 points. Delanoy recorded at least one goal in nine of 12 games, including a season-high four tallies in a win over Franklin Pierce. Delanoy eclipsed the 100-point plateau this season and served as a tri-captain.
