Loan Disbursement
Continuing Education & SNHU Online - In order for a student to be eligible for their loan disbursement they must be enrolled at least halftime. Half-time for the purposes of loan eligibility is based on a CE or online student being enrolled 3 credits per 8 week term. If a student is not at least half-time, they will not receive the disbursement scheduled for that term. The total loan eligibility a student has for the year is divided over the terms they will be enrolled. Students should review their award letter to see which terms their loans are scheduled for disbursement.
Please note: Students taking 3 credit courses that are longer than 8 weeks are required to take additional credits/courses concurrently to qualify as half-time for financial aid purposes. For example, two 16 week 3 credit courses are equivalent to one 3 credit 8 week course and would qualify that student as half-time over those 16 weeks.
Graduate - In order for a student to be eligible for their loan disbursement they must be at least half-time. Halftime for the purposes of loan eligibility is based on a graduate student being enrolled for at least 3 credits per 12-week term. The total loan eligibility a student has for the year is divided over the number of terms they will be enrolled. Disbursements are scheduled for the beginning of each graduate term. If a student is not at least half-time, they will not receive the disbursement scheduled for that term.
